Luxury brand maker Louis Vuitton will open their first restaurant in Osaka on February 1st of this year. The store, named Louis Vuitton Maison Osaka Midosuji features both a restaurant and cafe for shoppers to enjoy fine dining. The store is located at Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street in Osaka’s Chuo Ward.

The cafe, aptly named Le Cafe V, is helmed by Japanese chef, Yosuke Suga. Suga will also lead the brand’s first restaurant called Sugalabo V. Store and restaurant design were handled by Jun Aoki and Peter Marino.

The store, which appears to resemble a ship with its sails cast out, is a hark back to Osaka’s history as a shipping port. Wooden floors in the building also take on the appearance of decks on a boat. To learn more about Louis Vuitton Maison Osaka Midosuji click here.
