Tokyo Station, Japan

Recruit House Company recently released the results of a report titled, “Tokyo’s Station Rankings by Ward”. The data shows that Kasai Rinkai Koen Station on the JR Keiyo Line in Edogawa Ward was the cheapest. Five stations in Edogawa Ward, including Shinozaki Station and Ichinoe Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line, were in the top 20.

Katsushika City had the highest number of stations on the list with eight. Keisei Kanamachi Station on the Keisei Kanamachi Line and Kanamachi Station on the JR Joban Line tied for second place on the list.

Nishitakashima-daira Station on the Toei Mita Line in Itabashi Ward, which was No. 1 last year, came in at 20th place. This year’s change can be attributed to the number of new properties built in the area over the past year.

The data was compiled using median monthly rent for studios, 1K, and 1DK listings within a 15-minute walk to the station that are currently marketed on housing websites in Tokyo’s 23 Wards.
