On May 31st, Mitsui Fudosan Realty Co., Ltd. launched a new floor plan search system on their home page. The system, which utilizes an A.I. named “Mad Research”, allows customers to create floor plans online, then easily search for properties in Japan that match their criteria.
Developed jointly with Avant Co., Ltd. (Nakano-ku, Tokyo, CEO/CTO: Masachika Suzuki), a company that develops systems for real estate agencies in Japan, the system will allow users to search the list of properties all over Japan currently for sale on the company’s website for properties that are nearly identical to the ones they create.
The app will function on smart phones and allow users to draw their designs by hand. Based on the results of machine learning tested on several types of floor plans, the app can easily recognize different room styles, such as Western-style layouts or Japanese-style layouts, and find a suitable property to recommend to the user.
