Walking distance from Ebisu is the beautiful, trendy neighborhood of Daikanyama in Shibuya. 1. Monsoon Cafe Daikanyama

Just a 10-minute walk from Daikanyama Station, Monsoon Cafe has a relaxing atmosphere with elegant high ceilings and beautiful decor. Enjoy the Atrium main dining room or the lovely terrace. The menu is a mixture of Vietnamese and Thai cuisine with a variety of salads and wok dishes. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. For 1,000 yen you can choose between 5 dishes and salad and soup are included! A lovely way to spend the afternoon.
2. Spring Valley Brewery

If you love beer, you'll love the Spring Valley Brewery. But even if you don't, you'll find this to be a great place to take a break during the day or enjoy a fun night out. A fantastic microbrewery with a variety of excellent beer choices will tempt your taste buds. And if you're looking for a little flavor from home, the all American food is prepared just as expected. The house-made ginger ale, pizza and Caesar salad will hit the spot. But make reservations early, it's a popular location.
3. Hiki Cafe

Minutes from Shibuya crossing, the Hiki Cafe could be in a real jungle camouflaged by vines and vegetation. But instead, this bar/restaurant is located on a calm, quiet street of Shibuya. Tapas style food with an assortment of pizza, pasta, sandwiches and delicious desserts provide a delectable variety of choices that can be enjoyed at tables inside or outside. Excellent service, tasty food and a great happy hour too!
4. Daikanyama Falo

A delightful little restaurant that's an incredible find in Shibuya with a unique setting of cooking in the middle and seating around the counter. Traditional Italian cooking with a Japanese flair will delight with the chef cooking everything fresh on a stone grill right in front of you. Outstanding flavors with different spices like cajun and dakkah enhanced duck, pasta and lamb dishes, to name a few. Falo has a wide range of wine by the glass and a friendly staff that will not disappoint.
5. Ivy Place Tokyo

A few minutes from Daikanyama station, Ivy Place is a fashionable spot that opens at 7 am for breakfast and closes as a bar at 10 pm. Located in the "Tribeca" of Tokyo, this restaurant is dimly lit with beautiful candles making the ambiance warm and cool all at once. But the food is the real star! The bread is made fresh daily from their bread company, the calamari is unforgettable and the fluffy pancakes are the best in the world!
